Greetings from the Hoover High School Drama Department!!

In November, the actors and actresses of Hoover High School are going to tackle a production much more difficult and challenging than the previous two productions.  The audience can prepare to laugh for nearly the entire 2-hour duration of the show.  Noises Off, a classic farce, is not one play but two:  simultaneously a traditional farce and the backstage "drama" that develops during the production of the show.  The two plays begin to interlock as the characters make their exits from one play, only to find themselves making entrances into the even worse nightmare that is happening in their personal lives backstage.   The play is set to perform on:  Thursday, November 5, 2009  and Friday, November 6, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.  There will be a Saturday matinee at 2:00 p.m. on November 7, 2009.  An additional show will be performed on Friday, November 13, 2009.  If spending the weekend laughing until you cry entices you, then mark your calendars and plan to attend Noises Off this November.

The leading cast members for this production are: Julie Benedetto, Sarah Bergert, Sara Blike, Morgan Eastman, Andrew Jajack, Corey Lipkins, Jenny Mayer, Austin Minor, Amanda Montoya, Angela Reighard, Bianca Tan, Blake Tan, and Nick Turgeon.

In the spring, the seniors of Hoover High School will once again showcase their directing talent by directing one-act plays in the upcoming production of Scene. Interested seniors will be permitted to choose their own one-acts (with advisor approval), cast actors/actresses in their plays, and direct the play.  It is going to be a fun-filled year for drama club students.
