Bachelor's Degree: English/Secondary Education, Muskingum College
Master's Degree: English Education and Reading (K-12) Ohio State University....GO BUCKS!!!
Library Media Certification(K-12): Kent State University

Teaching Experience: 5 years, all in Ohio schools. English and reading at all levels pre-school through adult; Speed Reading and English as a Second Language at all grades 7 through adult.

Library Experience: 20+ years in the North Canton City School system--the best school district in Ohio! Clearmount Elementary School--11 years, North Canton Middle School--2 years, and Hoover High School--10 years and counting...

Favorite Young Adult Authors: Robert Cormier, M.E. Kerr, Walter Dean Myers, Todd Strasser, Chris Crutcher and Carl Deuker

Favorite movies: James Bond movies-- Check out my links page for a fun Website devoted to Double-0h-7!  Also, "Ocean's Eleven", "The Italian Job", any movie with Meryl Streep or Sandra Bullock and the Jason Bourne movies  (all based on books by author Robert Ludlum!)

Favorite television shows:  "Criminal Minds", "The Closer" and "NCIS"

Book I'm currently reading:  Pepper Pike by Les Roberts

Just finished:        The Great Santini by Pat Conroy

Hobbies: collecting quotations, reading (who would have guessed that?!)--specifically mystery and detective stories. Favorite authors: Robert B. Parker  (Yes, I'm in mourning...although I read there's a new Spenser book coming out in February and two more are scheduled for publicaton.)
Also enjoy rubber stamping, scrapbooking, calligraphy, collecting antiques.

Extra-curricular activities at Hoover: Hoover High School National Honor Society advisor... We are a service-oriented chapter with 165 members who are full of great ideas and lots of energy!
