Welcome to the Hoover High School Academic Challenge Homepage.

The team is wrapping up their season for the 2011-2012 school year. They have had a good year so far. The JV team was undefeated this year, and the varsity team had season record of 9-1 and coming in 4th at the Tri-county Academic Challenge League Tournament. The team finished their season by competing at the Regional Tournament

Recent Events:

• Monday February 6th: The varsity team competed in the Tri-County Academic Challenge League Tournament.
• In January the team visited Cosi to tape an episode of "The Brain Game" for ONN which will air later this year.The team competed against the Wellington School.
• January 9th: The teams finished regular their regular season with victories against Massillon.

Team History:

In the last six years, Hoover's Academic Challenge team has qualified for the state tournament four different times.
In 2010 and 2011 the team appeared on the TV show "Academic Challenge" and beat both of the teams they competed against.
Also, the 2010 varsity team won Mount Union's annual academic challenge tournament. Because of this victory Mount Union awarded a scholarship to one Hoover senior who chose to attend the university.
